How do I log into UICcareers.com?
Type in your UIC EMAIL address (including @uic.edu) as your username, then hit FORGOT PASSWORD. In a few minutes, A “Welcome to UICcareers” message with instructions on how to access your account will be sent to your UIC e-mail address. Follow the link to set up your password and log in. If you do not receive the welcome message with an hour, please call the Career Services office at 312-996-2300 for assistance.

Are UIC graduates (alumni) allowed to use your services?
You may use the services of the Career Services office for one year after you graduate. After that, you may refer to our Alumni page for additional options.


If I graduated over a year ago, may I still use UICcareers.com?
After one year, please contact the Career Services office to regain access to UICcareers.com.


Are graduates of UIUC and UIS allowed to use your services?
Unfortunately, our services are limited to UIC students. Please contact your university’s career services for assistance.


How do I get help with interviewing?
You may get help through the Interviews and Networking page on our website, by scheduling an individual appointment for advice or to request a one-on-one mock interview (Note: There is a limit of one mock interview session per student per semester).


How do I get help with my resume and/or cover letter?
We offer drop-in career advising for resumes and cover letters a few times a week. Check the website for hours. You may also schedule a one-on-one appointment, attend a workshop, or review our Resume & Cover Letter section on the website.


How do I get help with choosing a major and/or thinking about careers?
You may start the conversation during drop-in hours. However, an in-depth, one-on-one career advising session is recommended. You can also review the career exploration page on our website for additional ideas and tools to assist you.


When can I schedule a mock interview?
You may schedule a mock interview on weekdays between 9:00 am and 5:00pm (including over breaks) by calling the Career Services office at 312-996-2300.

You may schedule an appointment by calling the Career Services office at 312-996-2300.


If I missed my advising appointment, may I reschedule?
You may reschedule your appointment up to three times. After that you may no longer make appointments, you may only use walk-in advising.


May I make an appointment for the same day I call?
While we do not offer same-day appointments, you may come in during walk-in advising hours for assistance.


Do I have to meet with the advisor that specializes in my major? Can I meet with a different advisor each time I come in?
You may choose to meet with a different advisor if you like, but we recommend you first speak with the advisor that specializes in your field if your schedule allows.

Is your office the only career services office?
