Being prepared for interviews will give you the confidence you need to highlight your skills and accomplishments during the interviewing process. UIC’s Office of Career Services offers multiple ways for students to brush up on in-person or video interviewing skills.
Employers use different types of interviews to vet job and/or internship candidates in today’s job market. It is important that you understand why employers use each type of interview during your internship and/or job search.
Strengthen Interview Skills
Students can strengthen their interview skills by signing up for a practice or “mock interview” with a UIC Career Advisor. Following the practice interview, you will receive feedback about interviewing strengths and areas to improve.
Students can log into UICcareers.com to obtain access to the Mock Interview module in which students can tailor and record responses to common interview questions. Recordings of interviews are then reviewed by a member of the Career Services team.
