About
Carmen joined the Career Services staff in 1998 and transitioned to Student Employment in 2008, where she currently serves as Director. She holds a BS in Management and Marketing, bringing extensive experience in student workforce development and human resource support. In her role, Carmen provides comprehensive human resource services to student employees and serves as a key resource for supervisors across campus. Her responsibilities include coordinating student applicants, referrals, managing job postings, addressing day-to-day employment concerns, and ensuring a clear understanding of employment policies and procedures. She also plays an integral role in developing, recruiting, and promoting both on-campus and off-campus employment opportunities that support student success and career readiness. Outside of work, Carmen enjoys road trips and exploring new destinations, especially places that offer scenic views and hiking trails. She also appreciates discovering local restaurants and embracing opportunities to learn and try new things.
