The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) is a unique combination of intelligence agency and combat support agency. NGA delivers world-class geospatial-intelligence that provides a decisive advantage to policymakers, warfighters, intelligence professionals and first responders.
NGA is headquartered in Springfield, VA and has two major locations in St. Louis and Arnold, MO. Hundreds of NGA employees serve on support teams at U.S. military, diplomatic and allied locations around the world. **Although most students will be placed at one of these locations, placements may also be made at other NGA sites, based on mission needs**
POSITION DESCRIPTION
NGA Student Interns perform a variety of entry-level functions and tasks in support of the organization to which they are assigned. They are given a work project that involves problem identification, analysis, and resolution. Specific duties may include the preparation and presentation of briefings directly related to work assigned. Upon graduation, successful interns may be offered the opportunity to non-competitively convert to a full-time employee. MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS
* U.S. Citizen
* At least 18 years of age by 1 October, 2020
* Ability to obtain a Security Clearance (Top Secret/Sensitive Comparted Information)
* Passing a Counter Intelligence Polygraph
* Position is subject to Drug Testing
* Currently enrolled full time OR part time in an accredited two-year or four-year college or university degree program (associates, bachelors, graduate, or post-graduate) with a graduation date of August 2021 or later
