UIC Career Fair Descriptions

Career Fairs provide opportunities for students/alumni to learn about potential careers in industry sectors, network with perspective employers, and often submit resumes to prospective employers (Note:  Some employers may require online submission of resumes and/or employment applications).

Unless otherwise noted, only UIC students and alumni are allowed at the fairs*. Students/alumni do not need to register in advance to attend the Fairs.

*Proof of UIC affiliation is required; some examples include i-card, alumni association card, miniature diploma, or unofficial transcript showing current classes or degree conferred.

Diversity Career Fair This career fair frequently hosts employers offering full-time employment, part-time employment, and internship opportunities across all majors. UIC Students, Alumni Fall Semester
UIC Graduate and Professional School Fair This career fair hosts admission representatives of historically more than 200 colleges and universities located in the Chicago-land area, national programs, and international programs. Attendees may obtain information on a variety of graduate and professional programs as well as obtain advice about the application process. Open to the Public Fall Semester
Government Job Fair This career fair hosts local, state and federal government and police agencies. The fair is open to the public, and features internship and full-time employment opportunities across all majors. Open to the Public Fall Semester
Education Career Fair This fair is open to the public. The fair hosts employers representing elementary through high schools as well as school districts. The fair frequently offers full-time and part-time teaching and administrative employment and internship opportunities across various education fields. UIC students and Alumni. Students and alumni from sponsoring institutions (Loyola University, DePaul University).

This fair is also open to the public. Please refer to the website's event calendar to confirm if fees apply for non-UIC participants.
Spring Semester
Arts & Culture Career Fair This career fair is coordinated by the University of Illinois at Chicago, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and the University of Illinois at Springfield. The fair hosts employers who offer part-time employment,, full-time employment, and internship opportunities for students and alumni in the creative fields such as art, design, theater, and music. Internship and Part-Time Job Fair This job fair is coordinated by the UIC Student Employment Office (SEO) and open to UIC students and alumni. The fair hosts employers offering internships, part-time employment, seasonal employment , and full-time employment opportunities across all majors. UIC Students, Alumni Spring Semester
All Majors Career Fair This career fair hosts employers from various industries including technology, engineering, government, business, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, and non-profit. The fair is open to UIC students and alumni of any major, and frequently features full-time employment, part-time employment, and internship opportunities. UIC Students, Alumni Spring Semester
Recent Alumni Job Fair This fair is UIC’s only job fair during the summer semester. The fair hosts employers from various industries including Technology, Government, Health Care, Nonprofit, and Education.
