In its 9th year, the Illinois Technology Association (ITA) Tech Challenge is a programming and coding skills competition for current university students in the U.S.  Students may compete for the chance to make it to the Top 50 and be invited to Chicago for the Final Challenge, interview with top technology companies and a chance to win $5,000!

The ITA Tech Challenge has two phases:

Phase 1: Qualifying Challenge (September 17-24, 2018)

Starting in September, qualifying Challenges are held virtually with participating universities. This initial event lasts approximately two hours.

The Initial Virtual Challenge can be taken any time between September 17th and September 24th. Once students begin the test, they will have two hours and cannot stop and start again. They can code in any language and will need to upload a resume to access the challenge.  UIC will also be hosting a special on-campus Challenge on Thursday, September 20th at 5:30 pm.
