Career Programs & Events
A variety of programs are available to empower your career development on topics ranging from career exploration to résumé/CV writing, to salary negotiation, and networking.
Building a better resume, cover letter creation, choosing a major, interview essentials, navigating a career fair, and salary negotiation are some of the workshop available each semester. In addition we have may company info sessions and other networking opportunities.
Career Information Sessions and Networking events
UIC Careers Services and Student Employment work with recruiting employers to set up information sessions, information booths, and sponsor networking events. These events can be standalone or coincide with career fairs.
UIC Career Services and Student Employment sponsor or co-sponsor 5-10 career and job fairs throughout the year. Most are restricted to UIC student and UIC Alumni; however, several are also open to the public.
Refund Statement: A full refund will be provided to employers if a cancellation is received one week before the fair. Refunds will not be processed if an employer does not attend the fair, or cancels the day-of.

Unless otherwise noted, only UIC students and alumni are allowed at the fairs. Students/alumni do not need to register in advance to attend the Fairs.
*Proof of UIC affiliation is required; some examples include i-card, alumni association card, miniature diploma, or unofficial transcript showing current classes or degree conferred.
